Are your products recyclable and how do you dispose of them?

What is the minimum quantity for purchasing your products?

The minimum order is one carton. Please note for many of our products we have a pricing scale and the more you order the lower the unit/carton price becomes.

Where do you deliver your products to and how long until I receive my order?

We deliver Australia wide to all capital cities and all regional areas. From the date of your order, you will receive your products within 1-4 business days depending on your location.
For larger quantity orders which require manufacturing or during our peak periods, please contact us directly to discuss.

FAQ’s for Gel Ice Packs – Ambient & Frozen

How do I properly dispose the contents of the gel ice packs and are they recyclable?

Cut the bag open with a pair of scissors and pour the non-toxic solution into your garden bed or general waste bin. Although it may be safe to do so, we do not recommend pouring the contents down a drain, in case you have a pre-existing blockage.
Rinse the bag clean with water and recycle the LDPE soft plastic bag according to your recycling regulations. You can contact your local council to determine if there are any recycling centres in your area which accept soft plastics for recycling. You can also take the plastic bag to most major supermarkets which have the RedCycle Red Bins in front of their stores.
However, if you don’t require them, contact your local food bank charity or donate them to a school, sporting club or a friend.

I receive your gel ice packs with my food delivery service, are they reusable and how do I clean them?

Yes, they are reusable and can keep your food, drinks or other temperature sensitive products cold in eskies / coolers. They can be cleaned by using an antibacterial soap with warm water.

What are the contents of the gel ice packs?

The contents are comprised of water and a super absorbent polymer.

What happens if the contents are ingested or get on my skin?

The contents are made up of non-toxic and non-hazardous ingredients (mainly water). We suggest that you wash the affected area with water, however if you have any concerns please contact your physician or vet to seek further advice.

How long does it take to freeze the gel ice packs?

Depending on your freezer’s capabilities, these time periods may vary. Place the gel ice packs in a freezer and allow at least 12 - 24 hours for individual packs, 24 - 72 hours for a carton and can take at least a few weeks to freeze full pallet quantities.

How long do your gel ice packs keep products chilled for during transit?

When frozen, our gel ice packs can keep goods chilled for up to 48 – 72 hours depending on how you have packaged your products and the actual weight of the gel ice pack. Generally speaking the more gel ice packs you put with your products the longer products remain chilled.

What size/specification gel ice pack do I require to keep my goods cold during shipping?

This depends on the size and shape of your goods, the packaging you are using, the outside temperature and how long the goods will be in transit for. Please contact us so we can advise you accordingly based on your individual packaging and shipping circumstances.

Can you provide branded gel ice packs with my logo on them?

Yes, minimum quantity orders are required in order to be cost effective. Contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

Is there and expiration date and how do I store the gel ice packs?

There is no expiration date and the gel ice pack will last and be functional if they remain intact and are not punctured. If the product is not being stored in the freezer, we recommend storing the gel ice packs in a cool dry place.

Are your gel ice packs Australian made and what size options do you have?

Absolutely and they are made under strict quality manufacturing processes which ensures the gel ice packs perform to their best capabilities in reliability and durability. We have the biggest range of different size specifications in the industry. Refer to our Gel Ice Packs page for sizing specifications.

Are there Pre-Frozen Gel Ice Pack options available and why should I order Pre-Frozen Gel Ice Packs?

Yes for specific sizes. Pre-Frozen Gel Ice Packs are a great convenience and offer customers a quick solution if you don’t have the time or the freezer space to freeze the gel ice packs before packaging and shipping your goods to your customers. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

What is the difference between your Gel Ice Packs and the Thermal Ice Re-Usable Hot/Cold Gel Packs.

The Gel Ice Packs are a cost effective commercial range and used for cold shipping. Our Re-useable Hot/Cold Gel Packs are a premium grade retail range, which can be heated or frozen and used for keeping food and beverages hot or cold or for therapeutic purposes.

FAQ’s – IcePak Wraps (Dry Ice Packs)

How do I properly dispose of used IcePak Wrap sheets and are they recyclable?

Cut the cells with a pair of scissors and empty the contents which are non-toxic into your general waste bin. Rinse the sheet with water and recycle the LDPE soft plastic bag according to your recycling regulations. You can contact your local council to determine if there are any recycling centres in your area which accept soft plastics for recycling. You can also take the plastic bag to most major supermarkets which have the RedCycle Bins located in front of their stores.

Can the IcePak Wraps be cleaned and reused?

Yes, clean the sheets by using detergent and warm water then, rehydrate and freeze again prior to use.

What are the contents of the IcePak Wrap sheets and are they safe to use when shipping foods or on persons for first aid?

The contents are a non-toxic, non-hazardous super absorbent powder within the cells and are safe to use when shipping foods or for first aid purposes.

What happens if the contents are ingested or get on my skin?

The contents are made up of non-toxic and non-hazardous ingredients. We suggest that you wash the affected area with water however, if you have any concerns please contact your physician or vet to seek further advice.

Can I cut the sheets to a different size.

Yes, you can cut the IcePak Wrap sheet in between the cells with a pair of scissors if required. Pre-cut sizes are available, please refer to our IcePak Wraps page on the website.

How long do the IcePak Wraps keep perishables or other temperature sensitive product cold for?

This depends on the type of insulated container used in your packaging and the outside temperature. Generally speaking, the IcePak Wraps can stay cold for up to approximately 24-36 hours in an insulated container.

How many IcePak Wrap sheets do I need to keep my foods cold during shipping?

This will vary and largely dependent on the outside temperature, your packaging methods and products being shipped. Contact us to determine your individual requirements.

How long do the unhydrated IcePak Wraps last for?

Indefinite if stored in a plastic bag or in the original carton with the plastic liner sealed to prevent from absorbing moisture from the air. The powder in the IcePak Wrap sheets needs to be kept dry.

Will the IcePak Wraps retain the water after hydration?

Absolutely, when the water is absorbed, it bonds within the super absorbent polymer powder and forms molecules of gel. The molecules are cross linked with each other and are too large to fit through the small opening in the fabric that allows the water to get into the cell. Therefore, the only way to get the contents out of the cell once it has been absorbed is to apply extreme pressure and generally the leakage is very minimal.

Can the IcePak Wraps be used as an absorbent pad?

Yes, they are excellent in absorbing many liquids.

What is the difference between your IcePak Wraps (Dry Ice Packs) and Dry Ice?

We call our IcePak Wraps, Dry Ice Packs because they come in a dry and unhydrated state. Dry ice in gas format is frozen and condensed carbon dioxide which we do not supply.

Yes, absolutely. Our Insulated bags and liners are made in Australia. Unlike imported bags and liners from overseas, which are not recyclable our bags and liners are 100 % recyclable. What are your Thermal Insulated bags and carton liners used for?

The insulated bags and liners are used for the protection of perishables and other temperature sensitive products during packaging and shipping. They are beneficial for protection of your goods from temperature fluctuations.

How do I properly dispose the contents of the Thermal Ice Re-Usable Hot / Cold Gel Packs and are they recyclable?

How long do the Thermal Ice Re-Usable Gel Packs stay hot or cold for and how do you prepare them for use?

How long the packs stay hot or cold and will vary on the individual size and the ambient temperature. The more volume / thickness of the gel pack, increases the heating / cooling capabilities and performance. To prepare the packs for use place them in your freezer between 12 – 24 hours for cold applications and heat the pack in your microwave for hot applications. Follow the instructions on the Thermal Ice Re-Usable Gel Packs.

What is the difference between your Thermal Ice Re-Usable Hot / Cold Gel Packs and your Gel Ice Packs?

Our Re-Useable Hot/Cold Gel Packs are a premium grade retail range, which can be heated or frozen and used for keeping food and beverages hot or cold or for therapeutic purposes. The gel ice packs are a cost-effective commercial range and used for cold shipping.

What is the difference between the Thermal Ice Re-Usable Hot / Cold Gel Packs Tri-fold range and the standard Thermal Ice Re-Usable Hot / Cold Gel Packs?

The Re-Usable Hot / Cold Tri-Fold range are a 3 cell flexible gel pack that can be wrapped around products for effective cooling or heating. The Tri-Fold packs can be folded in a Z shape and easily stored in the freezer.

How do I properly dispose the contents of the Instant Hot and Cold Packs and are they recyclable?

Cut the bag open with a pair of scissors and discard the non-toxic contents of the pack into your general waste bin. Rinse the bag clean with water and recycle the soft plastic bag according to your recycling regulations.
You can contact your local council to determine if there are any recycling centres in your area which accept soft plastics for recycling. You can also take the plastic bag to most major supermarkets which have the RedCycle Red Bins located in front of their stores.

Do you recommend applying a cover as a barrier for the packs prior to applying to skin.

Yes, for sensitive skin, especially for the elderly and minors. We supply hot / cold covers for this application.

How long do the packs stay hot and cold for?

Approximately 20-30 minutes depending on outside and body temperature.

Do the Instant Hot and Cold Packs have an expiration date and how do I safely store them?

The packs have no expiration date and can last indefinitely. Store unused packs in a cool, dry place.

What is cold therapy and what is hot therapy?

Cold therapy is used for acute injuries such as sprains and strains or any other type of inflammation and swelling and Hot therapy is used for muscle pain or stiffness.

What is the difference between your Instant Hot or Cold Packs and your Re-usable Hot/Cold Gel Packs?

The Instant Hot or Cold Packs are for one time use only and do not require any heating or refrigeration. The Re-usable Hot/Cold Gel Packs can be used many times over and prior to use require heating or freezing.
